In fact, there are about 200 different types of cells in a human body that do everything from creating linings to repairing different parts of the heart muscle. In a very simplified explanation, caffeine is like the hand that knocks over the first domino in a long line of dominoes. Each time a domino falls, it starts a new reaction in the next domino until the very last domino tips over, and the process is complete.
